A luxurious adaptation of the Navajo rugs in Mr. Lauren's personal collection, this Ralph Lauren rug combines two ancient knotting techniques--the Soumak flat loop weave and Peshawar pile weave--in one design for rare and varied sheen. Vegetable dyes were used to enhance the naturally rustic appearance of the fibers.

Using a time-honored ceramics technique, finely spattered pigments cast subtle shadows and dramatic silhouettes in this naturalistic collection from Dansk. Intriguing and alluring, it evokes the feeling of looking through a frosted glass lens.
