Larry Bird is a basketball legend. During his 13-year career as a Boston Celtic, Bird received Rookie of the Year honors in 1980, was a 12-time NBA All-Star and scored more than 21,000 career points. In addition to leading his team to three NBA championships, he co-captained the original Dream Team to an Olympic gold medal. Bird retired later that year and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 98.
