Instructions for installing.

Adjust the Rod. - Slide the lockstop, the spring and the inside rod section until the rod is 1" longer than the rod mounting location. Tighten the lockstop screw to hold in this position.

Hang the Rod - Push one end of the rod against the mounting surface. Compress the rod far enough to clear the opening. Position the other end of the rod.. Release the rod allowing spring tension to hold it in place.
