Inspired by the distinctive and beautiful textiles of the Kirman region in ancient Persia, this rug features a curvilinear medallion design upon a field embellished with arabesques and floral motifs. Patterned after a nineteenth-century Kirman rug, it makes use of borders to showcase a spectrum of colors such as indigo blue, brick reds, tobacco golds, browns and olives - with a smattering of soft aqua, coral and burgundy. Each color is specially dyed for a timeworn striated effect that recreates the antique beauty of the original. Woven in the USA of luxuriously soft premium worsted New Zealand wool.
