The original, crafted in the late-18th to early-19th century in the north of Paris, featured elaborate, figural hand-painting and lavish gilt accents. In this clean, modern version, varying widths of gilt and color banding create a design motif that is spare yet sophisticated, with concentric bands of silver circling the classically styled rims.
