  • Tortle is a simple, comfortable beanie that is FDA cleared to help prevent and treat Flat Head Syndrome (plagiocephaly and torticollis). Early detection and correct use of Tortle will ensure the best long term results.
  • To help prevent flat head syndrome, we recommend that all babies wear a Tortle at least 8 hours per day during their first 6 months. He/she will need a Small, Medium, and Large to keep up with their rapid growth.
  • To properly use the Tortle, you must pull the beanie down as far as possible so the crown of the head is fitted into the top of beanie and ears are covered. If beanie is covering baby's eyebrows, you can fold the front of the beanie.
  • When using the Tortle to prevent Flat Head Syndrome (plagiocephaly and torticollis), place support roll behind baby's ear to aid in the repositioning of baby's head from left to right. For treatment of mild to moderate Flat Head Syndrome, place support roll over flat spot to keep baby off favored side.
  • Tortle repositioning beanies have an opening along the seam to add a decorative headwrap and flower to accessorize your beanie.
