It is typical of Jasper Conran that his keen designer's eye should light on a decorative style from the early years of the pottery industry and translate it into Navy Fringe, a distinctive 21st century addition to the Jasper Conran at Wedgwood collection.

Michael Wainwright has created elegant porcelain since 1991. Each piece is made of porcelain and fired in a kiln at least three times. First, the rims are cut by hand, so that no two pieces are exactly alike. Second, the wares are glazed by hand and fired to nearly 2200 degrees F., 22-karat gold or platinum is hand painted on each piece and fired in a kiln one more time, resulting in a finish that is dishwasher-safe.
